Hanoi [Vietnam], May 9: At noon on May 7, the opening ceremony of the football tournament for youth students in Barcelona organized by the Vietnam Youth Union took place at the Golagol football stadium complex (L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Barcelona).
Interestingly, the owner of the Golagol stadium is Jordi Alba, a player of FC Barcelona and the Spain team.
The youth football tournament gathered 8 teams with nearly 120 players registered to participate. The opening ceremony was attended by Ms. Tran ThiHuong - First Secretary of the Embassy of Vietnam in Spain and representatives of donors. The event also attracted many spectators.
The tournament will take place every Sunday and the closing ceremony including the 3-4 match and the final will take place on June 11.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, head of the organizing committee of the tournament, said that the tournament was organized with the aim of enhancing exchanges and connections among young people, students and Vietnamese people living, studying and working in Barcelona. at the same time creating a healthy playground for the sport movement in general and football in particular.
The organizers wish to continue to affirm the growth of the sport movement of young people and students living, studying and working in Barcelona city.
